Typically, the doctor will review what other treatments and medication the patient is already taking. Any further medical decision about what should be included or deleted from the patient’s regime during the stem cell treatment will be made on an individual basis.

How soon is it possible to see the effect of treatment?
Post-transplantation effects develop in 2 stages:

Stage 1

Within several days after injection you will notice improvement of general condition, less fatigue, better workability and appetite. This is most commonly seen in people with advanced diseases and aging. You will also note an improved emotional state.

Stage 2

This begins 1 to 2 months after transplantation. The regenerative process in the diseased organ or system will occur resulting in quality of life improvement. These beneficial effects of stem cell therapy will last longer with a healthy lifestyle.

What about the ethical issues?
According to most religious denominations, adult stem cells are not encumbered by any ethical or moral dilemmas. Most organisations have issued statements that encourage research and the use of adult stem cells in the treatment of human disease.

What can you expect when you arrive for treatment?
Upon arrival, a doctor will review your medical records and perform a physical examination. Your doctor may order additional testing, such as blood tests or radiological testing. The doctor will explain more on the method of administration depending on your medical condition. You will be monitored for 2 hours after the infusion.
